Veterinary Hospital in Royal Oak, MI

It is important to find a veterinarian you trust. At Royal Oak Animal Hospital, we have assembled a team geared toward ensuring your little furry friend is cared for in a loving and compassionate way, while also providing the best healthcare. Our clean, comfortable, and efficient facility, along with our caring and professional staff, help make any vet visit a warm and inviting one. Our goal is for your pet to be happy to see us!

If you are a new patient, we recommend having your pet in for a check-up once per year, until they’re age seven. After that, we urge pet owners to schedule full physical exams twice a year. During these exams, your pet’s heart rate, skin and coat, teeth and mouth, ears, and abdomen are thoroughly checked for any abnormalities. This is the best time to find any issues, as early detection is the best tool to combat larger problems down the road.

Hospital Policies

Patient Arrival Policy

Even though we make every effort to help our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be uneasy in new surroundings or with other pets. For the safety and protection of all:
• Please have all dogs on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.
• Please have all cats in appropriate carriers or on a leash.

Appointment Policy

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we work primarily by appointment. We make a sincere attempt to see each patient on time. However, emergency cases always receive top priority, so we appreciate your understanding with the occasional inevitable appointment delay.

For your convenience, we also offer drop-off appointments. In this case you may bring your pet to us at a time that works best for you and leave him/her for a couple of hours. Usually we will ask you to drop off in the morning so our doctors may examine the patient in between appointments or at the time reserved for admitted patients. Following an exam, the doctor will call to discuss the diagnosis and any discharge instructions.

For the safety of staff and all animals in our care, we require a current rabies vaccination for all admitted patients.

Payment Policy

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Care Credit, cash and personal checks.
